The Lower Township Police Department announced on Sunday June 27 that a long serving police chaplain was retiring. A celebration of his ministry was held at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church on Seashore Road in Lower Township on June 27.
Pastor Howard was the coordinator for the police chaplains’ program, which consists of various religious leaders through out Lower Township. The programs main purpose is to provide spiritual support to members of the police department and the public at large.
Chief Donohue presented Pastor Howard with a plaque in appreciation for his years of service and ministry to the Lower Township Police Department and community. The members of the Lower Township Police Department wish Pastor Howard and his wife Linda a happy and long retirement.
