LONG-TERM RECOVERY GRANTS RECEIVED BY ATLANTIC COUNTY

A total of $1.1 million was awarded to two long-term recovery groups in Atlantic County for Hurricane Sandy survivors. The American Red Cross awarded the grants to both the Atlantic County and Atlantic City Long Term Recovery Groups. The monies will be used to help survivors with construction and home repairs. The chairman of the Atlantic County group said at a news conference on Wednesday that the recovery effort is at about 50 percent, as his group continues to reach out to those in need.
