Some local communities will be recognized for their flood mitigation efforts during a press conference in Sea Isle City on Wednesday. Avalon, Cape May, Cape May Point, Ocean City, Sea Isle, and Upper Township are the local towns being recognized for working hard on flood control solutions which lower flood insurance rates. Only ten communities in the state have achieved a Class 6 rating, including Avalon and Sea Isle City.
