The State of New Jersey announced Monday that many school districts throughout the state will be dividing $268 million in federal education funding. The money is coming to the state as part of a $26 million stimulus package approved by the United States Congress. More than $2 million in education funding will be coming to Cape May County school districts. The big winner locally is the Middle Township School District, which will collect over $469,000 in funding. Other districts who will each get more than $300,000 in funding include Lower Cape May Regional, Lower Township, and Upper Township. Cape May Point is getting the least, just $974.
