A new innovative is being used to train police to improve community relations. Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Chief Thomas D’Intino, President of the Cape May County Chiefs of Police Association announced local police will participate in a program called, “Fair and Impartial Policing: A Science-Based Approach,” which has been taught this year at Police Departments across the country including the Philadelphia Police Department, Tallahassee Police Department and Norfolk Police Department. The first course will take place over two and a half days this month and then in November a command level course will be held for a a day and a half. The cost of the training is being obtained by a grant.
