A heaping amount of praise is being put on the countywide SWAT team following a weekend standoff in Lower Township. Lower Township Police Chief Ed Donohue said today that the county SWAT team worked very well during a 12-hour standoff with a man who barricaded himself at a home in the Villas last Saturday night into Sunday morning. Donahue says everyone with the SWAT team worked hard to bring the dispute to a peaceful resolution. He has served on the steering committee for the SWAT team since its formation back in 2006.
