More than 375 people will be out of work at the end of next year, as the General Mills Progresso plant in Vineland is scheduled to be shut down. The Press of Atlantic City reports that local union leaders have been meeting with Progresso management to try and persuade them to keep the plant open, by offering financial incentives. The report said Progresso would be willing to help Vineland find another food processor to take over operations at the plant.
