A local pianist was booked to perform with his trio on June 3rd as part of the Cape May Music Festival. Then he passed away suddenly on April 12th. Over a dozen musicians and friends of the late George Mesterhazy got together Sunday night and performed a tribute concert to the late pianist and composer to a sold-out crowd at the Cape May Convention Hall. A video tribute was also part of the presentation. Mesterhazy was a featured artist at the local music festival for the past six years and would perform regularly at the Merion Inn in Cape May.
