A third round of lawsuits has been filed by the state Attorney General’s Office and Division of Consumer Affairs against hotels and gas stations for price gouging during the state of emergency caused by Hurricane Sandy. Several motels in Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville were named in the suit, aimed at businesses who inflated prices by as much as 150 percent during the crisis.New Jersey has previously filed suits against 24 businesses; 13 motels and hotels and 11 gas stations.
