A new report says that Route 52 Causeway could be shut down in the near future. The Press of Atlantic City reports that both Ocean City and Somers Point governments voted to approve resolutions asking the state to shut the roadway. This will allow for the crews to move more quickly with the work and avoid having lanes shut down during the summer. The work has gotten behind schedule and the contractor said that the roadway needed to be shut down at times in order to get the necessary work done. The report says there will be a list of times and days of when work will effect the roadway.
