The need is there, but the numbers aren’t. That is the message the VA has provided veterans in South Jersey regarding a veteran’s hospital. Congressman Frank LoBiondo told Coastal Broadcasting that it is something he continues to work on, but as of now, the VA doesn’t want to build any new buildings if possible. The Congressman feels the best route might be going into an existing structure and getting some services for veterans that way. LoBiondo feels the enrolled numbers are much less than how many actual veterans live in South Jersey. Unless more people enroll, there will likely be no new hospital for veterans health care in the area for some time.
