The federal government is going to create a task force to look at the registration of unmanned aerial systems purchased in the United States. Drones, as they are commonly known, are becoming increasingly popular among consumers. Congressman Frank LoBiondo, who is the chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee, applauded the news. On October 7th Chairman LoBiondo convened a subcommittee hearing on the safety of the national air space with respects to commercial UAS technology where lawmakers pushed the FAA to consider creating a federal registry.
