LIMITED SWIMMING ALLOWED IN WILDWOOD CREST ON MONDAY

Not all beaches were closed to swimmers on Monday. Lifeguards in Wildwood Crest allowed swimmers to enter the ocean, but only in water up to their waists. A spokesperson for the Crest beach patrol said no saves were made during the weekend and people were following the guidelines. In Cape May, surfers were allowed to ride the waves, but only if securely teathered to their surfboards.
