LIFEJACKETS FOUND ON CREST BEACH; COAST GUARD SAYS IT CAME FROM SUNKEN BOAT

Several life jackets washed up on a beach in Wildwood Crest, and the United States Coast Guard reports they came from a sunken boat.  The Coast Guard told NJ.com that the items came from a boat that had no one on board.  The Coast Guard used a chopper and a boat in a potential search and rescue mission, but that was deemed to be discontinued since no one was on board the boat that sank.
