LIFEGUARD KILLED DURING LIGHTNING STRIKE ON NEW JERSEY BEACH MONDAY

A second lifeguard in New Jersey has been killed in the line of duty.  A lifeguard was struck by a lightning bolt in South Seaside Park late Monday afternoon and died as a result of the strike.  The incident took place near the 21st Street beach in the community.  Six others were also struck by lightning and injured during the storm.
