In the odd back-and-forth story, Carl Lewis has been ordered off the ballot by the same court that said he could remain on the ballot. The Federal appeals panel revised its own ruling saying that a vote in 2009 in California should keep him off the ballot to run for Senate this year because of a four-year New Jersey residency requirement. This may be the final step for Lewis trying to run for Senate this year, but reports say he is looking into a potential Assembly run, which has a smaller residency requirement.
