LEGISLATION WOULD ELIMINATE CHRISTIE’S POWER MAKE LOTTERY PRIVATELY HELD

A high ranking Democrat is trying to fight back against the privatization of the state’s lottery. Assembly Budget Committee Chairman Vincent Prieto introduced the measure that would prevent Gov. Chris Christie from having the authority to make the change. Of course, if the measure was passed, Christie would have to sign it into law. Christie is trying to sign a 15 year deal to turn the lottery over to private hands. Many have questioned whether it is necessary to turn the lottery over.
