LEGISLATION TO HAVE TRANSGENDER PEOPLE GET NEW BIRTH CERTIFICATE HEADS TO GOVERNOR’S DESK

Gov. Chris Christie will consider legislation that would allow transgender people to get new birth certificates. The bill was passed in the legislature this week. Current law doesn’t allow people who undergo hormone therapy to get a new birth certificate, only if you get surgery.
