A bill that would allow out-of-state bus companies to come into the state and not pay a tax passed a key Senate committee. The tax that was put into effect in 2001 has been among the reasons why bus traffic has been down into the state. The move especially has hurt Atlantic City. It was approved 13-0 and will still need to pass the full Senate.
