LEGISLATION PROPOSED AIMED AT ENSURING LAWMAKERS SHOW UP TO WORK

A new bill is being sponsored that would cut down on the amount of time a lawmaker is allowed to skip a voting session. Republican Tom Kean Jr. put the bill forward that would cut the amount of unexcused absences to 5 from ten, which is currently allowed. If that number is crossed, the seat would be declared vacated.
