A bill advanced on Monday that would try and attract more big name acts to Atlantic City. The legislation would exempt state income tax to A-list performers that play at least four dates in Atlantic City. The measure got approval in the Senate State Government, Wagering, Tourism, and Historic Preservation Committee. The tax break would also include income generated from venues in Camden, Trenton, Newark, and Holmdel. The secretary of state would be in charge of figuring out which artists were worthy of the tax break.
