LEGISLATION BEING INTRODUCED TO BAN OFFSHORE DRILLING IN ATLANTIC OCEAN

Two federal lawmakers are working to protect the New Jersey shoreline. U.S. Senator Robert Menendez and Congressman Frank Pallone said Monday they will introduce legislation to ban offshore drilling in the Atlantic Ocean. Menendez has pointed to what happened in the Gulf of Mexico as a primary reason why it shouldn’t take place new the New Jersey shoreline. Tourism is so important to New Jersey and an oil spill could destroy all of that.
