A retired Cape May police officer is running for Mayor in November. Chuck Lear announced that he will seek the city’s top elected position in the November 8th election. Lear worked for the police department for nearly 40 years and recently retired. No announcement yet if current Mayor Ed Mahaney will seek re-election.
