In an attempt to balance this year’s budget, Dennis Township has announced plans to eliminate eight jobs and reduce salaries. The Dennis Township Committee approved the planned layoffs by a 4-1 vote on Monday, that would save $215,000 by cutting three full-time opublic works employees and three emergency management positions, plus two part timers. The Dennis Township Board of Education has also cut their budget to save money by cutting five positions and all sports and co-curricular activities. The planned school budget savings are $50,000.
