LAYOFF NOTICES HANDED OUT IN VINELAND

A total of 20 Vineland police officers have been handed layoff notices. The notices were handed out on Wednesday. Officers will remain on the force for 45 days following receiving the notice. The City Council there feels that the concessions made by the police force are not enough and they need more. If a concession agreement can be reached, the jobs of the 20 officers could possibly still be saved.
