Civil lawsuits have been slapped against several North Jersey companies for committing price gouging during the recovery effort from Hurricane Sandy. The Christie administration announced today that eight business have been charged with price gouging relating to those who needed fuel, shelter, and other essentials. One gasoline station is charged with rooking customers for $5.49 per gallon of gas following Sandy, which is 59 percent higher than pre-storm prices.
