An Assembly committee meets Thursday and will consider a new bill that could bring casino gaming to Bergen County in northern New Jersey. The new bill would create a Casino Gaming Study Commission that would explore casino operations in other parts of the state besides Atlantic City. Some lawmakers believe that if casinos are approved for North Jersey, it could be a final crushing blow to the casino industry in Atlantic City.
