One New Jersey lawmaker wants to give state residents the option to vote early in future general elections. Deputy Assembly Speaker John Wisniewski will introduce a bill in Trenton that would provide an option to registered voters to vote before election day each year in New Jersey. 32 states and the District of Columbia already allow early voting in general elections, but New Jersey does not. Wisniewski says people are very busy, and Hurricane Sandy made it impossible for some people to get to the polls on election day.
