LAUREN HOLDEN CLOSING IN ON 2,000 POINTS

The countdown continues in local girl’s basketball as Lower Cape May Regional senior Lauren Holden zeros in on scoring the 2,000th point of her career. On Tuesday Holden scored 22 points as the Lady Tigers trounced Millville 59-27 as the starting team made an early exit from the game. Holden should reach the 2,000-point plateau on Friday night when the Lower Cape May girls host Bridgeton at 7 p.m.
