The newest map from the National Hurricane Center looks slightly better than before. The 11 am update shows the storm starting to trend more out to sea. There had been some disagreement with the models and this new map shows some belief that the storm could begin to move off to sea more. Considering that Hurricane Joaquin is a strong hurricane it would be welcome news.
It remains very early to make a real determination on where the storm may or may not hit. But if future guidance continued in this direction it could be welcome news for everyone in South Jersey.
