The National Hurricane Center is predicting the position of Hurricane Matthew to be off the coast of North Carolina and heading east by midnight Sunday. The 8 a.m. update shows Matthew currently moving NNW at 10 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 115 mph. The storm is currently heading for the central and northwestern Bahamas.
