– Longport Boulevard is now open providing direct access into Longport, however Ocean Drive remained closed as of last evening.
– FEMA representatives continue to arrive to assist in recovery efforts and provide information to residents and businesses about available federal assistance. All representatives are identified by federally-issued FEMA photo identification badges. Assistance is available to those who sustained uninsured and underinsured losses. The first step to take is to register with FEMA by calling 1-800-621-3362 or registering online at www.disasterassistance.gov or www.fema.gov.
– All county election offices (Board of Elections, Superintendent of Elections and County Clerk) will remain open through Monday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily. On election day, Tuesday, November 6, polls will be open 6 AM to 8 PM. All emergency voting will cease at 9 PM. Residents displaced by Superstorm Sandy may vote provisionally at any designated county polling location. Upon arrival to vote, they should identify themselves as a displaced voter.
