LAST FREEHOLDER MEETING FOR SUE SHEPPARD

Its the final meeting for one Cape May County freeholder. Susan Sheppard will step down as a freeholder this week to be sworn in as surrogate. Robert Hentges is retiring and is being honored during the Thursday meeting. The Cape May County Regular Republican Party will have 30 days to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term of Sheppard. Whoever is selected will likely run with Gerald Thornton in November as Sheppard’s seat will be up for reelection.
