It may soon be illegal to purchase a laser pointer in Ocean City. The devices have been used to blind pilots and even interfered with a Coast Guard helicopter recently. Council is planning to introduce an ordinance on Thursday that would ban the sale of laser pointers in the city. Police have been dealing with the issue over the course of the past year.
