LADY PANTHERS BEAT CEDAR CREEK, ADVANCE TO SEMIS

The Middle Township Lady Panthers have advanced to the South Jersey Group II semifinal game.  Middle Township defeated Cedar Creek, 45-33, to advance to the next round of the NJSIAA playoffs.  In a game broadcast live on WCZT, Middle took a four point halftime lead and held on for the win by doing an exceptional job with offensive and defensive rebounds.  Middle Township Coach John Leahy complimented his team during an interview with Buddy Tarbotton, saying “I can’t say enough about my kids.  They always stick together”.  It’s possible Middle Township will play Lower Cape May Regional in the Caper Tiger gym in the next round on Friday evening in one of the biggest girls’ basketball games in Cape May County’s recent history.
