Jury selection has been completed for the trial of two former state officials accused of causing traffic issues on the George Washington Bridge, as political payback against the mayor of Fort Lee for not endorsing Gov. Christie. The trial begins on Monday in federal court in Newark for Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelly, who are both charged with wire fraud, conspiracy and other crimes for reducing access lanes to the bridge and causing huge traffic jams. The defendants pleaded not guilty and claim other more powerful officials were involved but escaped prosecution.
