JURY SELECTION BEGINS IN LOCAL DOCTOR’S TRIAL

Jury selection begins on Tuesday in the case of a North Wildwood doctor, accused of health care fraud and drug distribution. Dr. John Costino, 68, is charged with allegedly prescribing painkillers for two undercover officers posing as exotic dancers. Costino is charged with nine counts of illegal drug distribution and seven counts of healthcare claims fraud. Over 300 local citizens have been called as potential jurors, with the selection process to be completed by the end of this week. The trial for Costino is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 15th.
