Two defendants with close political ties to Gov. Christie in the Bridgegate scandal will go on trial this fall. On Tuesday U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton denied the motions to dismiss the cases against ex-Christie Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly and Bill Baroni, ex-deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Baroni and Kelly each face multiple charges of wire fraud and conspiracy in connection with creating traffic issues on the George Washington Bridge as retribution against the mayor of Fort Lee for refusing to endorse Christie for governor. The trial date for Baroni and Kelly has been set for September 12th.
