JOINT BEACH FILL COMING TO AVALON AND STONE HARBOR

Sand pumping will be taking place in Avalon and Stone Harbor soon. The two communities will be getting a beach fill beginning the middle of April. Avalon is scheduled to go first with the beach fill between 16th and 31st sts. The dredge will then move to Stone Harbor around Memorial Day to do a fill in that community. The beach fill in Avalon is 270,000 cubic yards of sands, the borough is expected to only pay $121,250.
