The founder of a popular liquor store chain in South Jersey is dead. Joseph Canal died following a car accident on Monday. Canal was 81 years old. The Daily Journal reports his vehicle was found off of Route 70 in Evesham. The vehicle had gone off the roadway. He was rushed to an area hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later. His burial ceremony took place on Friday at St. Joseph’s Church in Camden.
