JITNEYS COMING TO VENTNOR CITY ON TRIAL BASIS

On Thursday the city of Ventnor joined the growing list of shore communities to approve jitney routes. Ventnor officials hope to use the jitney service to avoid parking problems and shuttle residents to Margate and Atlantic City. The Board of Commissioners approved a jitney route that will run along Atlantic Avenue from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday through Sunday through July 13th, when the service will be evaluated to determine if it should continue through summer. It will also run Monday, July 4th.
