The recall election is finally over in West Wildwood. Superior Court Judge Valerie Armstrong ruled on Wednesday that the results of the Borough’s first recall election are over, and Commissioner Gerard McNamara was not recalled. Armstrong ruled in court that the results of the election resulted in a tie, but that’s enough to recall McNamara. Both McNamara and Commissioner Herbert Frederick survived the recall effort back in December, 2010 despite having nearly three out of every four registered voters in West Wildwood participate in the election.
