INVESTIGATION INTO NORTH CAPE MAY WOMEN'S DEATH

A North Cape May woman was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning. Lower Township Police and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the incident. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Jean Marie Palmer. It was determined that Daniel Simpson was in the company of Palmer the night prior. Simpson had a number of outstanding warrants in Middle Township and North Wildwood. During his arrest, he was found in possession of prescription narcotics and faces two drug possession charges. Bail was set at $50,000. Additional charges could be filed against Simpson pending an autopsy and toxicology results.
