The online gaming division of Caesars Entertainment Corp. was fined $10,000 for sending promotional materials to hundreds of people on a “self-exclusion list”. A spokeswoman for the N.J. Division of Gaming Enforcement said this was the first fine of its type since Internet gambling began last November. Online gaming operators are not allowed to solicit compulsive gamblers on the list, who have voluntarily banned themselves from Internet gaming or brick-and-mortar casinos. The promotional materials were emailed to over 250 self-excluded gamblers between February 16th and May 28th of this year.
