A Lower Township man has been indicted for shooting down a drone that was flying near his home. Russell Percenti, was charged with possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and criminal mischief. The drone was shot down on the 1000 block of Seashore Rd in Erma. The 33-year-old faces the potential of 10 years in jail for the charges. The owner of the drone, Leonard Helbig, of the Villas, said he was using the drone to capture photographs of his friend’s house while it was under construction.
