An 18-year-old Atlantic City man was indicted for murder and several other charges, after the 71-year-old man he allegedly beat in July, died as result of the injuries he sustained, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel announced.
It is alleged that on the morning of July 29, 2011, Jonathan Perez hit Alfred Kessleski, of Atlantic City, over the head with a milk crate outside of the victim’s Atlantic Avenue residence, then continued to hit and kick Mr. Kessleski in the head while stealing his wallet.
An Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted Perez on four counts; murder, felony murder, robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. If convicted, Perez could face a sentence of life in prison.
Perez remains lodged in The Atlantic County Justice Facility.
