The Press of Atlantic City reports that authorities have released the identity of the Vineland police officer who was stabbed in the face and head during an incident Wednesday at a home on South Valley Road. The injured patrol officer is John Warrington, who was stabbed while accompanying a state Department of Human Services worker to the house for a well-being check on a resident. Officials did not release Warrington’s condition, but said he could soon be released from Inspira Medical Center Vineland. The stabbing suspect, 26-year-old Johnny Flores, remains in jail on $500,000 bail.
