ID RELEASED ON PEDESTRIAN KILLED IN A.C.

Police have released the identity of a woman who was struck and killed by a car just before 4 a.m. Friday morning in Atlantic City. The victim was 26 year-old Rachael Highfield of Farmington, Pa., who was run down at the intersection of Mississippi and Atlantic Avenues. Highfield was an employee of Harrah’s Atlantic City and living in Brigantine. The driver of the car, 21 year-old Kenneth Barts of Egg Harbor Township, was charged with DWI, and reckless driving with criminal charges pending, following an investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
