The Wildwoods Hydrofest New Jersey Governor’s Cup Regatta has been cancelled for this year and will not return in future years. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the event coordinator, Ann Fitzgerald, announced that the races scheduled for October 3rd and 4th of this year would not be happening. She said the reason for the cancellation was the reconfiguration of the parks, streets and bike paths along Sunset Lake. The Hydrofest Planning Committee decided that the venue could no longer accommodate the number of racing teams, equipment and vendors that were present during Hydrofest.
