HUSBAND OF FORMER GOVERNOR CHRISTIE WHITMAN PASSES AWAY

John Whitman has passed away at the age of 71.  Whitman was the husband of former New Jersey Governor Christie Whitman.  John Whitman suffered a catastrophic brain injury two weeks ago, and he passed away on Thursday with family by his side.  John and Christie Whitman were married for 41 years.  John Whitman has the distinction of being New Jersey’s only first gentleman, to date.
